SNF VBP Frequently Asked Questions

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated the SNF-VBP Frequently Asked Questions document. The SNF VBP Program data periods was updated to reflect the SNF VBP Program shift from calendar year to fiscal year measurement periods beginning in the FY 2020 Program year to mitigate logistical calculations concerns. The baseline period includes CY 2015 (1/1/2015–12/31/2015) and performance period of CY 2017 (1/1/2017–12/31/2017). The FAQ document expands on examples through visual descriptions of scenarios throughout the document.
